Russian forces has increased assaults on energy facilities over recent weeks, while the country's government has requested "substantial measures" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in delivering protection systems and implementing sanctions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that 450 drones and several dozen rockets struck energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were laboring to repair systems.
